“McGuigan is one of the easiest and trainable horses I have ever ridden. His attitude to work and life is very straightforward, with plenty of scope and stamina.” ~Jeannette Brakewell, rider, Individual World Silver and Olympic Team Medallist
Louisianna Catahoula - Full sister to Theodore O'Connor and also the rapidly advancing eventers Foster's Bold Favorite and Theodore al Coda, as well as our own stallion, Theodore II (Kevlar). "Cat" was broke to drive by Larry Poulin for Vivian Creigh's ambitious attempt at the Pony Driving World Championships. When Vivian needed knee surgery, Cat came home and was evented briefly by Karen O'Connor, placing third at her first event at Rocking Horse Farm. Her 2010 and 2011 foals are spectacular athletes: quick, elegant and cocky!

The one, the ONLY, the phenomenonal... CHELSEA'S MELODY!!! Yes, the 20-year-old dam of Theodore O'Connor is in foal to this awesome young stallion. In case you aren't aware, Melody is ALSO the dam of 14.3h Preliminary level eventer Foster's Bold Favorite (age 6), 14.2 Training level eventer Theodore a Coda, up-and-coming sire 15.0h Theodore II, driving and eventing mare Louisianna Catahoula, and Connaught, the fancy, two-year-old daughter of Fleetwater Opposition (thus 3/4 sibling to the in utero foal). Moreover, Melody is the granddam of eventer Renny's Cliche, the pony jumper currently standing 3rd in the nation Proven Theory, and winning hunter ponies Fox Ridge Magic Beans and Corinthian. Her maternal half siblings include successful hunters Karacter (WEF res. ch.), Yet Another Karacter (HITS ch., top 10 Pony Finals, state ch.), Out of Character, I Don't Know (National Champion), Chelsea's Maybe and Chelsea's Annie Mae. So anyone who still thinks Theodore O'Connor was a "fluke," THINK AGAIN!!!
