Yet Another Karacter
Registered Half Welsh
Sire: Land's End The Colonel Fox
Dam: Chelsea (aka Esker Electra), dam of AHSA/USEF National Champion "I Don't Know" and
numerous other winners in pony hunters.
      The CLASSIC pony hunter.

Known around the barn as Crossley, this 12.0 hand, registered half-Welsh gelding is by the well-proven and prepotent, Carolina's Red Fox son "Land's End The Colonel's Fox". Crossley is only four years old, but is already a genuine packer. He finds the jumps brilliantly and swaps his leads automatically. He is kind, generous, tolerant and, most of all, extremely safe. His fancy looks and movement have already earned him three championships and one reserve championship in five shows under four different young riders!

Crossley jumps the best, leaving from any distance, but mostly the ideal one (he has a great eye) without jarring his rider. There is no buck in him whatsoever and he is light off the aids without being nervous or quick. He has shown, to date, in pre-greens, childrens and short stirrup, winning/championing in each division and usually winning the hack class along the way. He will, of course, also model against the best and hacks through the country safely, too, even under very inexperienced riders. In fact, when Crossley was being backed last year, he was ground driven through the country by a timid eleven-year-old who had never even handled ponies before! Crossley's temperament is one in a million.

Our plans for Crossley are, ideally, to sell him in 2008, but if he doesn't sell, we will get him qualified for the pony finals as soon after Nov. 30th, 2008, as possible and then give him time off while we focus on other ponies. Croz has never been drilled over fences or on the flat (because he hasn't needed any, he's SUCH a natural), but we feel he has already proven his aptitude, style and talent, so there is no need to pound him more than necessary.
