A.k.a. "Kevlar," this full brother to Pam Am Gold medalist and recordbreaking eventing pony Theodore O'Connor currently stands 15H at 5-years-old. He is 3/4 Thoroughbred, 1/8 Arabian, 1/8 Shetland and is now working under saddle with event rider Lauren Deneve. Kevlar's family also includes VSF Otis, champion 100-mile endurance horse; I Don't Know, National Pony Hunter Champion; and many more.
Kevlar is a sweet, mannerly stallion who exhibits a strong and obvious willingness to please and the utmost respect for the gal standing next to him. He is an enthusiastic, confident jumper and prefers to hack down the road than to ride around a small pasture. Nevertheless, he is easy to ride soft, low and round, although when he does resist, upwards and airs-above-the-ground are his style (he never simply bucks).
Perhaps Kevvie's strongest physical quality is his big, hard, well-shaped feet. He is a very sound beastie.
FUTURE PLANS
Kevlar will not be available to the public for breeding until at least 2009 to allow him to concentrate on finding his way in the competition arena. As of now (Nov. 2008) we are entertaining only local mares for 2009, live cover, but we hope to offer him AI soon.
